There’s an cool tumblr fuckyeahesperanzaspalding devoted entirely to the wunderkind Esperanza Spalding, a rarity of rarities in the music world: a female jazz bassist who plays like a prodigy and arranges like a pop composer. She is, in the words of the New Yorker article, “the real thing.”
