Saturday: TOM TOM MAG Issue #3 Release Party & Parade! I was very sad that I was too sick for The Missionaries to play the Tom Tom Benefit at Dead Herring in April, but I will most definitely be at the new issue party:
“Celebrate with us as we parade through the street of LES with DRUMS! Pick up your free copy of Tom Tom Magazine Issue 3 (Cindy Blackman, Suphala, Zildjian, Laura Fares, MNDR, and more!) with live performances by: Chica Vas (all female drummer band) and visual artist Shantell Martin.
Details: Parade will begin at 6pm outside of the gallery. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join, drum, dance, whatever. Chica vas will end the parade with a performance in the gallery. Then DJ’s: DJ t. fav, Lauren Flax and Hott Momz, carnival style booths, and Shantell’s art.”
